Project Background
The project partner is an environmental protection enterprise based in São Paulo, Brazil, primarily engaged in the recycling and resource recovery of waste tires. The company processes various types of used tires, including passenger car tires, heavy construction machinery tires, and truck tires. The rubber granules produced through crushing are widely utilized in rubber product manufacturing, road paving, alternative fuel production, and other fields.
The customer’s existing equipment had insufficient capacity and frequently experienced material blockages, severe cutter wear, and substandard output. Consequently, the client decided to procure a high-performance twin-shaft shredder production line to enhance overall processing efficiency and reduce operating costs.
Customer Needs Analysis
The customer outlined the following requirements for the new equipment:
- Stable handling of waste tires of various specifications
- Support for long-term continuous operation
- High crushing efficiency to minimize manual labor
- Durable cutting tools to reduce maintenance frequency
- Compatibility with downstream processes such as steel wire separation and advanced rubber granule processing
Following multiple rounds of technical discussions and solution optimization, we tailored a complete heavy-duty twin-shaft shredder solution that fully meets the customer’s actual production needs.
Equipment Configuration
This project employs a heavy-duty twin-shaft shredder with the following core configurations:
High-torque twin-shaft transmission system
Featuring a low-speed, high-torque design, it effortlessly handles whole tires and large rubber products.
High-wear-resistant alloy cutting tools
The cutters are manufactured using a special heat treatment process, offering excellent impact resistance and wear durability, significantly extending their service life.
Intelligent control system
Equipped with a PLC-based fully automatic control system, it provides automatic reversing, anti-blocking, and overload protection functions, ensuring stable production operations.
Heavy-duty frame structure
The entire machine features a fully welded, thickened frame, providing robust structural integrity and enabling long-term continuous operation under heavy loads.
Project Implementation
After completion of equipment manufacturing, rigorous internal testing was conducted before shipment by sea to Brazil.
During the installation and commissioning phase, our technical team provided remote video guidance to assist the customer with equipment assembly, parameter adjustments, and operator training. Since formal production commenced, the equipment has operated smoothly, with all performance indicators meeting expected standards.
Application Outcomes and Benefit Analysis
Significant increase in tire processing capacity
With the introduction of the twin-shaft shredder, the customer’s waste tire processing volume increased by approximately 40%, markedly enhancing production capacity.
Effective reduction in operating costs
The high degree of automation greatly reduces manual intervention; the wear-resistant cutter design lowers the frequency of blade replacements, resulting in an overall operating cost reduction of about 25%.
Stable and reliable operation
No major malfunctions occurred during continuous operation, allowing for long-term stable production and fully satisfying the customer’s demand for high-volume processing.
Improved downstream recycling efficiency
Uniform particle size of crushed materials facilitates subsequent steel wire separation and advanced rubber granule processing, thereby increasing the utilization rate of recycled resources.
Outstanding environmental benefits
This project effectively addresses the issue of accumulated waste tires, achieving resource recovery from waste and complying with local Brazilian environmental regulations.
Customer Feedback
The customer highly commended the equipment’s operational performance:
“Since introducing this twin-shaft shredder, our tire processing efficiency has improved dramatically. The equipment operates stably, and maintenance costs are far lower than anticipated. It performs exceptionally well when processing large truck tires, providing strong support for our capacity expansion.”
Project Summary
The successful implementation of this Brazilian waste tire recycling project once again demonstrates the superior performance of our twin-shaft shredders in the field of tire recycling.
Looking ahead, we will continue to provide efficient and reliable shredding solutions to tire recycling enterprises worldwide, helping customers enhance resource recovery efficiency and achieve a win-win outcome of economic and environmental benefits.
